deviantART

Bye... I guess...

Wed Oct 7, 2009, 9:11 PM
deviantART just ain`t turning my crank these days. I came here to improve my art... but NO ONE gives me critique. All I ever get are faves without comments or message from angry and homophobes, who think I'M ignorant. No one really talks to me much anymore when I do post something either, other than my close friends. Seriously.... If I wanted to have my own page where I could showcase my art and not get any constructive traffic, or even traffic at all, I would make my own! Atleast that way I could make it look exactly how I want! And guess what? That's exactly what I'm going to do! I've thrown my deviations in storage and a making my own personal art website. All my art here will be up here, sans the scraps and deviantART related stuff. It will take a while to put together but, for now,you can hit me up on my Gaia Online account (manuverse09).

Oh and the college woe website has a new look... New comics will be released soon, aswell... I promise this time! ^_^

Sun Apr 19, 2009, 3:07 PM
When my semester is over, at the end of the month I will be returning to dA on a regular basis. I'm also going to be relaunching College Woe (actually have 2 comics already ready to go) and launching a new weekly podcast series, Dungeons and Dorks. Its a comedy poking fun of dungeons and dragons players and will star both ~Azrael-Adonis and I. The podcast will be publish on iTunes, as well as on Youtube.

Anyway, gotta get back to my schoolwork.

Manu out!

Disobeying your teacher sometimes pays!

Wed Apr 1, 2009, 6:07 AM
My teacher in creative programming told us to create a website for a local business. I ended up getting stuck with a video store. Thing is my teacher didn't want a stitch of programming in it. Instead he had use a bunch of google apps. But, being the ambitious student that I am, I said "Fuck it!" to google and opted to use PHP code and and a mySQL database. He also told us to find templates online so i rebelled and made my own template. lol. In the end my teacher was really impressed with what I made and gave me full marks! lol. I guess that sometimes it pays to disobey your teachers instructions.

Anyway, here is the link to the website: [link]

Thought i'd give you all an update, considering I haven't been here for about 2 months. I've been riding a roller coaster lately, but I think the ride has just about come to a stop.

I went to Elisa's Funeral last month and got what seamed like a very unwelcoming reception from my former classmates... Oh well. I paid my respects to an old friend. Unwelcome or not I had to do what I had to do. Rest in Peace, Elisa!

Sam and I broke up. For good. The proof of that is in the fact that she has found someone new. Again, Oh well. I can't really force a girl to love me, right? (Don't any of you bad mouth Sami! Please! She's my friend and she deserves to be happy!) Besides, I'm sure the right woman for me will walk into my life one day... I just need to have faith... And high Charisma! :#1:

Oh yeah! I'm on the Dean's List! Heha! I saw the list published today with my name near the top. Makes me feel all giddy inside. My coordinator and professor, Kevin, actually handed me a letter of first class standing, shook my hand, and told me I made quiet an achievement... Then he told me to keep up the good work. Well, I'd best not let him down, right?

I'm also strongly considering moving to Europe, upon finishing college, to pursue a career in Media Design and to eventually further my education. Moving will also give me a chance to travel to some of the European countries I've always wanted to visit, including England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Holland, Norway, Spain, Italy and Germany. It would be nice to kill two life dreams with one stone, you know? I already know that my future does not lie in this dying city.... So I want to set myself free into the world and actually travel to place that my heart truly desires to be.

So, yeah! Lot has happened, bad and good... but you know... I'm coming out happy! My future is bright and my life is currently at its prime! And its only going to get better! I'm excited ^_^

Rest in Peace, Lola

A friend of mine, whom I met in Culinary Management, passed away over the holidays, most likely as a result of foul play. Elisa Loyo Gutierrez, who was working abroad in the Philippines, was found dead at her work, hanging from a cable, with slash marks on various part of her body. At first it was thought to be a suicide but now its being suspected that this was an act of murder.

Elisa was a great person, probably one of my best friends from Culinary. She was always kindhearted and outgoing and often took a leadership role in our classes. I remember she even went so far as to help organize fund-raising events for our program. And she knew what she was doing. If there was one person in that program that I could say I looked up to when it came both skills and generosity, It was not my professors, It was Elisa. She was talented to the extreme and she had so potential. I could bet you now if this had not happened she would become an amazing chef. No... she already was an amazing chef.

Lola, you will be missed dearly, my friend. It is a tragedy that you where torn from this world at such a young age and at a point in your life where you where so close to achieving your dreams. You where so kind to me in the time that i knew you, which was a time when I needed kindness the most. I don't regret ever meeting you or getting to know you. You where a great friend.

Rest in Peace, Lola.
